In case you don’t know, Pc World had come up with their DSLR camera Ranking and We at Best-Digital-Camera.net Happily would like to share with you that 5 top camera on year 2008. We will update this list from time to time so that you can have at least short overview and information about which camera you should buy.

1. Olympus EVolt E-510 — PC World Rating: 87 (Very Good)

144098-olympusevolt.jpg

Though the Olympus EVolt’s many features might make it a bit daunting to some prospective users, the E-510 is a solid, adaptable camera that takes very good pictures under most conditions. Even with the new 40mm-to-150mm telephoto zoom lens, you won’t feel weighed down.
2. Canon EOS 40D — PC World Rating: 86 (Very Good)

144098-canoneos.jpg

The feature-packed Canon EOS 40D produces great images. Its price puts it within reach of photo enthusiasts and professionals alike. If you’re graduating from a Rebel-series digital SLR, this is a great step-up model whose versatility will grow along with you. And if you’re an advanced shooter looking for something smaller and less costly than Canon’s top-tier cameras (the 1D and 5D series), the 40D is perfect.

3. Olympus E3 — PC World Rating: 86 (Very Good)

144098-olympuse3.jpg

The big, heavy, rugged Olympus E3 has extensive advanced controls, fast burst-shooting speed, and a quick autofocus. But you’ll need plenty of arm strength to lug this baby once you’ve added a lens to the camera body. Check Latest Prices

4. Nikon D300 — PC World Rating: 85 (Very Good)

144098-nikond300.jpg

The Nikon D300 is not a camera to pick up and run with. Its high resolution, exceptional flexibility, and excellent exposure accuracy make the effort of working through a longish learning stage worthwhile. The D300 should fare well against its two strongest competitors, Sony’s Alpha 700 and Olympus’s E3.

5. Sony Alpha DSLR-A700 — PC World Rating: 85 (Very Good)

144098-sonyalphaa700.jpg

With its sharp, 12-megapixel imaging and with more exposure controls than most photographers will likely ever use, the beefy and finely designed Sony Alpha DSLR-A700 rises to nearly professional-level photography, making it well worth its $1900 price tag. Its main limitation is its relatively narrow range of available lenses and accessories.

Canon EOS 1000D Released

canon 1000D

Finally Canon made their way by producing another state of the art DSLR camera. The Canon EOS 1000D another upgrade of the previous model of Canon EOS 450D.

The 1000D is designed to fit into Canon’s model range beneath the 450D, which explains much of why the 450D was such a step up from its predecessor, the 400D. In many respects, the 1000D is still a step up from that model, with remarkably few compromises made to keep the costs down.

Here’s a comparison of the headline specifications, showing how the 1000D lines up alongside its big brother (the 450D), and the camera they replace (the 400D). As can be seen, with only a few significant exceptions, the 1000D’s specification exceeds that of the 400D.

Nikon D700 Relased – Reviewed By End User

Among the new and main features The D700 has everything it takes to satisfy a broad spectrum of photographic needs. What Lens Should A Wedding Photographer Have?

Most of Wedding photographer who just started their career really wanted to know what Lens should they buy or should they use when taking wedding photograph. I must say this is actually sound very subjective to me but i will share and tell you how those great photographer can come up with a great pictures?

The Must Have lens for wedding photographer is The EF 50mm f1.4 USM Standard for canon, I am actually now talking about canon (But still same goes to Nikon or others camera user) Because lens is something really general.

The only reason why you should have The EF 50mm f1.4 USM Standard the Canon EF 50mm standard lens steps to the plate. The lens offers two high-refraction lens elements and new Gaussian optics, helping eliminate astigmatism and suppress astigmatic differences. As a result, the lens provides an image that’s extremely close to how your eye perceives a subject, making it excellent for portraits and images that require a natural depth of field. The lens even delivers crisp images with little flare at the maximum aperture. Compact and affordable, the EF 50mm is the only lens in the EF system to offer the extra-small Micro USM while still providing full-time manual focusing.

Short Details:

  • Focal length: 50mm
  • Maximum aperture: 1:1.4
  • Lens construction: 7 elements in 6 groups
  • Diagonal angle of view: 46 degrees
  • Focus adjustment: Overall linear extension system with USM
  • Closest focusing distance: 1.5 feet
  • Filter size: 58mm
  • Dimensions: 2.9 inches in diameter, 2 inches long
  • Weight: 10.2 ounces

Canon 450D Complete Review and Quality Review

Canon 450D Digital Camera

Canon 450D Digital Camera

According to Hyun, The build feels very good. The camera feels wonderfully light yet well built. I’m 6ft tall with average size hands, and the camera feels good in my hand. The battery grip, to me, defeats the purpose of having a small, light DSLR, so I opted for a Hakuba/Opteka grip (it’s a plate that screws into the tripod socket that enables you to use the excellent Canon E1 hand strap with it) and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not a fan of neck straps, so this works well for me (see the uploaded photo for the configuration).

Most of the menu buttons on the back feel different from the ones on the original Digital Rebel and the 30D; the XSi buttons feel more tactile and have a definite “click” to them when you press them. The exception are the Exposure Lock (*) and AF selector buttons, which have retained the deeper, softer feel of the older cameras. Just different, not better or worse, for me.

The LCD is now 3″ with 230K pixels. The playback images look great, and probably because of the higher resolution of the sensor, there’s a very slight delay when you zoom in to 10x while the image loads and displays properly. People coming from other cameras or brands might not even notice it–I only did so because of the difference between it and my two other Canon DSLRs (which have lower resolution sensors). The viewing angle of the LCD screen (how clearly you can see the screen from side and up and down) is excellent; you can still see the screen holding the camera almost straight up for an overhead shot (more on this later). I’d estimate the viewing angle is about 160-170 degrees both horizontally and vertically.

The Digital Rebel has a separate status screen above the main LCD screen, and the 30D had one on top of the camera, so I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the big LCD acting as the status screen and no top screen. I’m happy to say that this arrangement works well, at least for me. The back screen makes it really easy to take all the settings at a glance. The viewfinder is much larger and brighter than that in the Digital Rebel. A humongously welcome feature for me is the always displayed ISO value in the viewfinder. Read the rest of this entry »

Canon 40D Complete Review

DETAILED REVIEW OF THE CANON EOS 40D:
-The Outside
The first thing that stood out is the larger, 3 inch, LCD screen. This makes reading the menus and changing settings a lot easier. Canon did not stop there. When I used the 30D I really wished reading the LCD screen was a lot easier when I was shooting outdoors in bright sunlight. When I did a shot I would sometimes have to quickly find a shaded area to view the screen. I am happy to say that Canon did address this issue as well. It is now a lot easier to read the screen in bright sunlight.

There are 2 new buttons on the outside that you can use to quickly access settings rather than wasting time going through the menu.
- Info
This allows you to quickly review your shooting information for an image – ISO speed, Picture Style and Metering Mode etc. There are two things that I really like here:

1. Highlight Alerts
When this feature is enabled, if there any overexposed areas in the image they will blink when the shooting information is displayed.

2. AF Point Display
When this feature is enabled, you will see the AF point(s) that achieved focus displayed in red.

There is another use of the Info button that I really like. It can be used to set the shooting information right there on the LCD screen. I prefer this option of setting shooting information as the names of the various icons are also displayed along with the icons. I remember when I just started using my 30D that I would sometimes forget which icon was for Tungsten Light vs. White Fluorescent Light when I was setting the White Balance using the control panel. Now the name of each icon is clearly displayed as I scroll through them on the LCD screen.

Review for Fujifilm WLFXE01 E Series Wide Angle Lens for E500, E510 & E550

Fujifilm Lates E Series Wide Angle Lens for E500,E510 & E550 series. is good? Among others review provided by user who bought the Lens

There were no surprises in how the lens worked, but the assembly was not very good. The lens cover is so loose that, unless you hold it on when handling the lens, it will fall of… always gets stuck in the bag.

When I replaced the lens cover with an old filter-case cover, It fit well, but then it pulled the lens keeper ring out of the metal casing and broke the little toy keeper stubs…glue fixd that.

Yeah, the expected chromatic “fringing” happens, but some soft settings and underexposure followed by Adobe fix that.

Fujifilm Convertion Lens WLFXE01 is permitting to make pictures of the architecture from a short distance and was very useful for shooting very high buildings in New York and in small streets of old towns of Europe. Moreover this lens can use indoors with small square.

My husband bought this lens for me to add to my E550 along with the adapter ring and another lens “made for the Fuji E550″. After using it with the adapter a total of 3 times, my camera lens would no longer open. I am very protective over “my” camera equipment, this is not my only camera, I have 5 of them. I wanted my E550 to do more than it was doing but in retrospect, I wish I had just used one of my better cameras. Leave the “add on” lenses for this camera at the store. Buy a better camera instead. :)
