What Is The Maximum Compact Flash Size For A Canon Powershot G2?

Is there a limit to the CF size on the Canon Powershot G2? Its an old camera that I am looking to take on a long trip and dont mind if it gets banged up.

The G2 doesn’t support the FAT32 file system, so it’s limited to CF cards that are 2GB or smaller. Of course, since it’s creating relatively small files, you’ll get a ton of pictures on a 2GB CF card.

I agree. Buy a couple of 2GB cards (or more). The last one I bought was a Lexar Platinum II for $25
You didn’t mention how long your were going to be gone. If you are taking your notebook computer with you to keep up with your email and YA!, you can always copy your images over to you computer and then format your card on the camera.
