“Best Brand”? I am not sure that makes sense.
I suppose to answer your question objectively I would say that Leica and Hasselblad make the best dSLR cameras at this time based on reviews and looking at the native files.

There is no such thing as the “best” brand of DSLR’s. Would you go onto the ‘Cars’ section and say what is the “best” car?. You will just get dozens of different answers from people who own particular models and not one is going to be ‘correct’.
Those who know about photography will tell you that the camera is just a tool and it does not matter whatsoever what camera you use.. Making a good image is 95% the photographer, 5% the camera. What is more important is how the camera feels to hold.
And as for where to buy?, I’m sure you can figure that out for yourself… Just go to a camera store.
The best brand is subjective to the photographer. I used to use Canon, but have switched over to Nikon since that’s what I use at work. Honestly, I find that Nikon’s are more user friendly than Canon’s are, but like I said, it’s all subjective. I’ve found that Samy’s Camera is a great place for all of your photographic needs, and they generally have the lowest price compared to other places around.
Well I am a Canon man myself BUT Nikon, Sony and any camera makers make ‘EXCELLENT’ cameras in the 21st century. Competition in the ‘Enthusiast DSLR market is so competitive that you really can’t go wrong with any camera in this market as they are ALL amazing pieces of technology. Whether they take good pictures or not is entirely up to the photographer rather than the fantastic cameras.
Depends on your needs:
1. Do you really need a camera that can shoot 10 fps?
2. Do you really need a camera with sensor shift image stabilization?
3. Do you really need a camera that goes up to ISO 16,000?
Since you weren’t specific I’m guess you’re new, so get a Nikon D40.
Brand is preference, Ive had my best experiences with canon and my worst with sony.
