I’ve read in an article that it would take 14 megapixels in order for a digital camera to match a 35mm. in terms of picture image quality. Also is 35mm the “Holy Grail” of image quality in a photograph? Are there new technologies that could surpass the image quality of a 35mm camera?

I have seen many Canon cameras have a feature where photo is black and white except for one color- does the 1200 model have it? Is this a better camera then the new Samsung Dual view camera?

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 digital camera, and I’m getting ready to do some traveling in rather remote areas. I want to be able to charge my batteries (Li-Ion) with a solar charger or another device without having to find a wall outlet to plug into.
I figure the only way this would be possible is by using an adapter connected to a solar charger that can plug into the DC port on my digital camera. But does this port actually charge the batteries or just run the camera off of that power?
Or, is there another way for me to charge my Li-Ion batteries with solar power or something similar?
Has anyone else dealt with a similar issue before?

Like I look at these professional celebrity pictures and their skin looks so bright. But then I find regular pictures of these celebrity with their fans on like fan sites and they look a lot duller. How much brighter are those professional shots of a celeb than, say, flash on a regular camera?
I want to document my best friends wedding and its preparations etc. I want a camera that doesnt make us all look like crap and what not. BUt not uber expensive. Also should I consider extra lighting if its dark and I dont want the ugly camera light on?

I’m tied between getting a Canon EOS Rebel XS and a Nikon D60 but a major concern for me is the ppi on the images the cameras take.And I know Nikons are set at 300ppi but I wasn’t sure about Canons.
does a canon camera take better video than a nixon?
