Ok guys, it’s only a few hours till Cyber Monday. I want a new digital camera for Christmas. I admittedly don’t know very much about them, so I could really use some good recommendations.
Only requirements:
- Must use a rechargeable battery
- Relatively compact and light
- Must have good video capture
- Must be moderately-priced ($200 or less, if possible)
Go!
Also, I have both of the above turned on and my subjects still often get red eyes – am I doing something wrong? I thought you usually get a couple of flashes to reduce red eyes but my camera doesn’t seem to do that… Any tips?
It’s a Canon Ixus 82IS.
Thanks
I will be buying a digital camera soon, and would like to shop around first. Tell me some good cameras (down to the model) that i can get for around 200 dollars, and then tell me what made/makes it a good quality camera. Thanks. Oh, I like to take photographs of live bands, (fast movement).
Do the numbers in the Nikon mean a higher version when they’re higher (for example, a Nikon D50 is higher than a D40); and for Canon, a higher version when theyre lower? (5d higher than 450d).
I need to get 4 digital cameras for some of my workers to take photographs of people (headshots at close distance) and documents (passports, other identification papers). I’ve had some in the past but the quality in low light and at close range is fairly awful. Can anyone recommend a camera (for around £100GBP) that has a good macro setting? Thanks, Lewis.
im going to get my first dslr and cant decide between the Nikon d60 and the Canon eos 1000d, there both about the same price so just want to know which would be the best.
When I take low to moderate light pictures without flash, I end up with a blurred photo even though I stand still, hold my breath and snap the picture. I like the natural look of light without flash, but can’t seem to get rid of this problem. My digital camera is 8x optical zoom and 3x digital. I don’t blow my pictures up to poster size, so I don’t need a ton of megapixels.
I’m looking for a compact digital camera, it will be used indoors for doing surveys in factories. Often it won’t be possible to use a flash due to the presence of highly reflective stainless steel structures and plant. So I’m looking for the best performance camera in low light without a flash, plus it has to slip easily into a coat pocket. Any other features are not so important, except battery life. Any specific recommendations based on personal experience would be great. Otherwise is there a particular digital camera specification that tells me about its low light performance, so I can directly compare models? Thanks
